There are many things that go on behind the scenes that a die-hard fan of any show knows. The following list are the behind-the-scenes things that I know about the show NCIS. They don't go in any particular order; I just think that they are really cool to know.
1. The tattoos that Abby has are not real. They are a product of the show.
2. Each of the actors on the show has a business card for their character.

3. Cote de Pablo plays Ziva David on the show. Her real name is Maria-Jose de Pablo Fernandez.
4. As an Immigrant herself, Cote de Pablo sometimes gets "lost in translation" the same way Ziva does.
5. The head-slap that Dinozzo gets from Gibbs started when Mark Harmon slapped Michael Weatherly during rehearsal.

6. Sean Murray thinks the name Probi that Dinozzo calls him as a term of endearment.
7. Abby's stuffed hippo Bert is actually a hand puppet.
8. Caf Pow, the energy drink that Abby Sciuto drinks is unsweetened cranberry juice.
9. The family relationship you see between each of the characters on the show is the same in real life.

10. The bodies that you see Ducky working on in the NCIS morgue are real actors.
11. The show NCIS is based on the real life Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
12. Director Leon Vance's character is based on a real-retired NCIS agent named Leon Caroll.
